Born in Ft Lauderdale, my family moved to Michigan where I spent the first part of my adult life. Beginning my work career at Jacklin Steel in Lansing, MI, operating various machinery and as a delivery driver, I worked my way up to Plant Superintendent, in charge of daily operations supervising forty employees. Other jobs included ABF Freight Systems and owner of a hardware and lumber store.

Tired of snow and cold, my wife Beccy and I moved to Sarasota in 2000 where I was employed by the Sarasota Sheriff’s Office as a fire/medical dispatcher. My passion to help people drew me to follow Beccy’s path in real estate.

I obtained my real estate license in 2005 and worked in the model home of a local builder, eventually moving to the DMI Home Builders model in 2008. I studied for and obtained my broker’s license in 2014 and currently work as a Broker Associate for Sun Realty.

My previous experience as a construction material supplier and working in sales of new residential homes taught me many facets of the business. My familiarity with Florida construction codes as well as vast knowledge of this area will help guide you toward your objective, whether an existing or a brand new home.

Beccy's Bio

Growing up in Michigan but hating cold and snow (hate is a strong word, but it fits), our eventual decision to move to Florida was the right one. I love the lifestyle here, warm year-round temps and no snow to shovel or icy windshields to scrape!

Working for the State of MI for thirteen years, I made a career change to RJ Reynolds as executive assistant to the division manager. My passion for racing highlighted the best part of my job. I worked closely with Winston Motor Sports at NASCAR and other sponsored events, including the VIP booths, show car, Camel Series motorcycle events and other racing venues.

From there I went to the Eyde Company, a large development and real estate company as office manager and executive assistant to the CEO.

Florida beckoned. Once here, I worked for an aluminum supplier before going to real estate school in 2004. Moving to North Port from Sarasota, I began my new career with a broker in Englewood, moving to Sun Realty in 2008.

Contrary to popular belief that real estate is an easy way to make a quick buck, it’s actually strong dedication to educational responsibility to ensure our customers are getting the very best in service.

Our philosophy; There is no right way to do the wrong thing.

Many people dislike cold wintry weather and many people like it. Thankfully we live in a country that offers something for both. If you’re like us, you appreciate Florida and its year-round warmth. Florida isn’t just our warmest state, it’s a lifestyle. Blue water, golf, beaches, outdoor dining, flip-flops and short sleeve shirts abound 365 days a year. Of course it’s our winters that draw most attention but the summers are just as wonderful. Whether you desire living here all year or just six months in winter, it’s a lifestyle you’re sure to love.

As a licensed REALTORS®, we serve both buyers and sellers in Sarasota and Charlotte County. We focus on single family homes and new construction, condos, villas, waterfront, golf and acreage properties and are listing agents for DMI Home Builders here in SW Florida. We are very proficient with new construction requirements for flood zones, HOA communities, rural and waterfront properties.


Our knowledge.

As well as general real estate, we’ve helped many people through the construction of their new home from start to finish.  We’re very familiar with different builder floor plans, construction codes and what insurance companies may require depending on the year the home was built. How does this help you? By understanding what to look for in home construction regardless of builder, we can easily point out what code was in place when constructed.

Condos, planned communities, waterfront, gated neighborhoods, villas and districts have differing requirements such as HOA, CDD, flood zones, wind velocity zones, maintenance fees and conditions. Proper paperwork needs to be understood, signed and recorded when buying in any HOA community and knowledge of the laws, obligations and constraints is of utmost importance.

Foreclosures were plentiful in our area and we’ve sold many of them. Each lender, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, HUD and others have their own “process” when it comes to submitting an offer. We will make sure all unique contingencies are met and satisfied.

FHA and VA Loans.

FHA and VA loans are somewhat different than conventional lending. We created pages on this website explaining what each require. If you’ll be using either of these great programs, please take a few minutes to read about each.

New construction.

As mentioned previously, we have worked with many builders helping our customers build or purchase new construction. We are the listing agents for DMI Home Builders and work in their model home. Buying a home.

Our Buyers Page is filled with information to get you started on the right track. We thoroughly enjoy helping people purchase a home. We never try to talk anyone into making a decision but will certainly help you make the right one. Purchasing a home requires the correct information on many fronts. Location is important and many factors may come into play such as flood zones, the year the home was built, planned municipal projects, etc.

We attend city and county meetings, seminars as well as read publications to keep up with planned changes that may affect our area. Our experience in residential construction, working with Florida home builders as well as general real estate provides buyers with insight in construction codes and other dynamics required to help you make the right decision when purchasing your home.

Selling a home or property.

When selling a home, we assist you in preparation for marketing. Price is always a factor but “presentation” can make all the difference. The Internet is a wonderful invention but it’s not a cure-all for purchasing a home. Now that you found us online, let us help you. There are many variables to consider and it takes the right knowledge to make the right decision.
